The Mad Hattress

I’m a garden-diggin’, husband-lovin’, cat-havin’, Cross-Fittin”, small business ownin’, tattooed Texan. Brian (the husband) and I work hard, plan hard, garden hard, and party hard (and by party hard I mean we lounge and spend quality time together).  I own and run , Kearley Seeds & Pepper Co. as well as my own massage therapy business.
I blog because it helps me find my way through this world and really forces me to take time for myself.

 I wear several hats in my life: wife, lover, friend, confidant, sister, daughter, aunt, parent, woman: Shawna. So much so that sometimes I feel much the Mad Hatter and it is  Tea Time at a table with a proverbial mad house. (Seriously, Shawna, Alice in Wonderland references?  Yes. Deal with it – they’ll be others too, much more atrocious. Brace yourselves.) Trying on one after another to see which fits and which does not. Fitting one hat on top of the other to fill several roles at once, trying to figure out which one works the best right now, constantly creating, accessorizing, and molding my hats. I’m sarcastic, intelligent, & loving. I have a sideways sense of humor, I curse, I fight depression, and I try to be a better person each and every day.
